Hey! Got a pretty big update for you today! Lots of new voice lines and animations! The majority of the new content in this build is related to Amai, but there’s also some pretty cool additions that are unrelated to Amai, as well.

Before I begin working on the next rival (Kizana) I want to make a series of significant improvements to Amai’s week, and the most important one will be the addition of voice acting. 2 weeks ago, I predicted that, by today, I’d have a bunch of new voice lines in the game. However, I wanted to make absolutely sure that players will be happy with the new voice lines, so I’ve been spending some extra time working together with the voice actors, making sure the lines turn out exactly the way I imagined them in my head, etc. So, this build doesn’t have a massive wave of new voice lines like I hoped it would…but, I do have some good news for you, though! Earlier today, I gave my stamp of approval to a significant number of new voice lines, so I feel confident that the next build is very likely to have some new voice acting and animations in it!
The voice actors are volunteers, and I’m not entitled to take up 100% of their time; we work together when our schedules align. And, when our schedules don’t align, I make various different types of improvements to the game. (Like the Yakuza animations I showed off a few days ago.)
Since I’ve made a lot of additions/changes/fixes/improvements to the game since the last update, I decided that I may as well drop a new build so that the latest version of the game is nice and polished. To read a list of all those changes, scroll down past this amazing Ayano cosplay by Octobunn!
The cutscenes where Ryoba interacts with the Yakuza are now fully animated! This has been a dream of mine for a long time, and I’m delighted that this addition has finally been made to the game!
You’ll be able to see these animations in the next build!
Aw, shucks – there was a game-breaking bug in the previous build. Sorry about that! Here’s a new build that should have that issue resolved.

Aw, shucks! I received a lot of negative feedback regarding the “Increased Saturation” change made to the previous build. It seems that the overwhelming majority of people strongly dislike it. A lot of people suggested adding a toggle so that it could be enabled or disabled at the player’s discretion – but, because so few people actually like it or want it, it seems that making a toggle would be a waste of time. I’ve decided that it makes more sense to just disable it.
I didn’t want you guys to have to wait two weeks or more to get a new build that doesn’t have the “Increased Saturation” effect, so I decided to just hurry up and release a build with the effect removed…and also a handful of other improvements and fixes, as well.

There was one bug in the previous build (the mouse-cursor-visible-onscreen bug) that was so annoying, I decided to upload a new build so that you don’t have to live with it anymore.
Of course, there are also a handful of other adjustments/fixes in the latest build, too. To see a list of everything else that changed, scroll down past this beautiful-yet-sorrowful artwork of Otohiko drawn by Cherry!
A big update came out recently! You can read about everything that got added to the game by clicking here. However, there were a few significant bugs in that build, so I’m uploading a new build where those issues are resolved.

The “always upload a new build on the 1st and 15th of every month” update schedule had benefits, but also had downsides. Back in June, I polled the community and asked if it would be okay to use different criteria for determining whether or not to upload a new build.
So, what exactly is the new criteria? Well, it’s a little hard to explain with words, so I’ll explain it with a flowchart, instead.

In short: Sorry, no new build today. I should have something for you within the next few days, though.
